Lausox - PDF Knitting Pattern
As a giveaway on my Instagram page I selected a winner named Katknits. She’s from Hawaii and always posts beautiful images of the ocean, flowers and plants. I was inspired by these and decided to pay homage by designing a leaf-motif sock. Lau is the Hawaiian word for Leaf - thus, the Lausox. Get it?!
1 - skein of Black Market Wool Milo OR Costello in “Lausox”
1 - US 2 (2.75mm) 40” circular needle (or 32” if planning to knit one sock at a time) OR DPN’s. Adjust needle size as necessary to match gauge.
Stitch markers (if working on DPN’s)
Small and Large: (7.5-9.25” and 9.5”+ foot widths at ball of foot)
30sts = 4” in stockinette
These socks are worked from the toe up using the Magic Loop method and The Unapologetic Knitter’s Ribbon Heel. The socks can be knit two at a time as the pattern for each sock is identical.
