WLSW: Yarn Substitutions - how I approach it!
Making yarn substitutions for a pattern, either for fiber-related allergies or budgetary reasons, can be a daunting task.
But no more!
In today’s episode of Knit Talk not only do we talk about weights and content of yarn, but also my top 3 resources for choosing yarn substitutions for your projects!

Any of you glasses-wearers can probably relate!
If you notice in this weeks’ video that my glasses have changed… again!… it’s because tragedy befell my beloved teal frames!
At the end of Skajammie day last week, while I was traveling in Carmel, my glasses fell off the edge of the bed when I’d taken them off for the night. It cost me dearly! The frames hit the floor so perfectly (or imperfectly, as it were) that the metal bar inside the arm snapped. The optometrists (I’ve spoken to 2) said they can’t be fixed. AND they’re now discontinued. So not only was I a doofus walking around in sunglasses when I didn’t need to be, but now I can’t get the same frames. I know it’s a small thing but boy did I love those frames!
New ones are on order… fingers crossed they’re just as good!
Thank you so much for joining me on this knitting journey! I hope to see you next week!
