The Ewe Heart Hat

Here’s a look at the third project for our upcoming Valentine’s Day Knitting Intensive, the Ewe Heart Hat!

I designed the Ewe Heart Hat as a special Valentine’s Day release in collaboration with Ewe Ewe Yarns in 2021. Heather had recently released her Heather’s Heathers yarn, a heathered version of her beloved Wooly Worsted line.

The pattern was, and still is, a free knitting pattern, available in 3 sizes. And Heather has now created the Ewe Heart Hat project kits for our Knitting Intensive.

My Mum, much to my absolute deilght, test-knit the pattern for me. It was one of her first beanies, and it turned out beautifully!

Her version is knit in Cotton Candy Wooly Worsted. Mine is also Cotton Candy, but the Heather’s Heathers line. I love the contrast between the two!

In the Valentine’s Day Knitting Intensive, happening on Friday, February 14, 2025, we will talk about ease, specifically recommended ease for hats, and how working from a chart can make a project like this a breeze!
