Comparing Heights vs. Body Lengths (you may be surprised!)

Are you taller or shorter than the designer of the garment pattern you want to make?

Are you long- or short-bodied?

In today's episode of Knit Talk, we explore ways to add or remove length from a garment so it fits YOUR unique body the way you want it to, no matter your vertical proportions!

Are you pumped for 2025 yet?

With the holidays swiftly approaching and today’s video capping off the year (I’m heading back to Canada for the holidays), I’m looking ahead to all the knitting joys of 2025!

There are two big things I’m looking forward to next year that I thought I’d sneak onto your radar before I sign off for the year.

In February, I’m partnering with Heather Walpole of Ewe Ewe Yarns (who you’ll spy on in today’s episode, too) to bring you a Valentine’s Day Knitting Intensive. We will cover a wide range of topics, all focused on improving our technique skills and understanding of colorwork, alongside three designed-by-me patterns - socks, a hat, and a gorgeous (mosaic colorwork) cowl. This event will be a one-day digital course (with a break for lunch, naturally) where you’ll learn from us in real time, be able to ask questions, and watch the recaps at your leisure after the event.

In the fall (September-November 2025), I’ll host The Unapologetic Sweater Mastery Course, featuring a top-down circular yoke-style sweater. It’ll be a great way to use many of the skills we’ve discussed over the last two years on my podcast, with me alongside you the whole way through. You’ll have the option of texture vs. colorwork and several different stitch patterns to choose from to make it a one-of-a-kind sweater that will fit YOU and your fabulously perfect and unique body!

Stay tuned for more details on both of these great events in January. And until then, Happy New Year, my friend. May your holidays be merry and your knitting a joy! 🧶

Do you want to learn something new?

If there is a knitting-related topic you’d like to learn more about, I invite you to head on over to my Knit Talk discussion form. You can submit questions or discussion topics you’d like to see in future episodes of Knit Talk , or you can request a technique tutorial!

Thank you so much for joining me each week!

With love and knitting,

Meaghan
