Skill Drill: Jogless Stripes

In the February Newsletter I talked about the Jogless Stripe. I've been knitting for quite a while and have never actually worked with this until just recently. And it's so simple! *face palm*

Look ma! No jogs!!!!

Look ma! No jogs!!!!

This incredibly simple technique works best on projects where you are carrying the yarn up the inside of the work, and where colors are changing every 3 rows (or more).

Here's an example (assuming working in stockinette):
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: Sl 1 purlwise (wyib), knit to end.
Row 3: Knit.

Of course this would work on patterned work as well; the simplicity of the technique is that the the only thing you need to do is slip the first stitch purlwise, and then just keep on with your patterning. Ah. Mazing!

If you want to give this technique a try, my Shameless Selfie Set is a great place to see this technique in action!

Happy Knitting!!!
