NEW TUTORIAL: 3 WAYS OF JOINING IN THE ROUND (PLUS A BONUS!)

Since it’s the middle of the week - let’s take a moment to learn some new joining in the round techniques!

Today’s tutorial shows you the ‘standard’ join in the round method, followed by two methods that I like to use to have a more seamless join when working in the round.

Plus! I’ve got a bonus at the end of the video that demonstrates my favorite tip for keeping your joins neat when you’re working the Magic Loop method!

Moo and his Woes

On a personal note, I want to acknowledge that this weeks post is pretty short and sweet, but it’s not because I don’t want to share more knitting goodness with you.

My little pup, Moo, who is just 11 months old, has had a bit of a rough start in life. He was abandoned by his first owners at just 3 months of age, then took a loooooong bus-ride to get to me from Texas. Shortly after arriving he got a cherry eye which quickly got infected so he had some not-very-pleasant intro’s to vets. And now it looks like he’s got a bit of a knee-problem. We have another vet’s appointment scheduled for him today to get him all checked out to see what the next steps will be.

All this to say - it’ll be a bit of quiet week here at the House of Schmaltz as we try to keep our young, bouncy pup from doing just that: bouncing. He loves to run and play but he’s hurt so we’re trying to keep him calm and relaxed. There’ll be lots of knitting time for me while I keep him cuddled next to me.

Thank you so much for being here and learning more about knitting, and getting a little glimpse into my personal life. I hope you’ll find some joy and peace in your knitting this week!

With love and knitting,

Meaghan
