WLSW: KNITTING AT A DIFFERENT GAUGE (SWEATER EDITION!)
HEY THERE! Happy Wednesday!
The much-anticipated follow up episode is here! A few weeks ago we had a little chat about how to modify a project for your gauge using a hat pattern. And I heard you - you wanted to learn about doing the same thing for a sweater. So here we go!
In today’s episode of Knit Talk we’re walking through the different things to look at within a sweater pattern so you can choose to knit a size up or down to accommodate your gauge without having to make modifications (or at least not too many, I hope!). My favorite example of this is the Shifty sweater that I knit a size smaller because my gauge was larger.
While there are no official downloads for this week, I do reference a download from Episode 6 which you can snag here: http://www.unapologeticknitter.com/knit-talk-downloads

A Note on Being Overwhelmed
No, I promise this won’t get too macabre but I think we’ve likely all been there at one point or another, right? We wake up, ready for a great week of work (or just life in general) and suddenly realize that we have a long list of things to get done that feels like it will be a LOT. Throw in the odd family obligation, or struggles in a relationship with your partner / child / friend / colleague, etc., and suddenly life feels just a bit overwhelming!
I felt like that on Monday morning. But lo and behold, as I took my pup out for a walk that afternoon to clear my head, a podcast episode dropped from Jen Hatmaker, an incredible human being who shares so openly about their life. The episode was all about dealing with those overwhelming feelings and how to put them into perspective, especially when those feelings may be tied to familial relationships. If you’ve got an hour to listen, I highly recommend you check out the episode (and it doesn’t feel like an hour - it just feels like 20 minutes with a friend and a cup of coffee).
You can find the episode it here: https://jenhatmaker.com/podcast/series-52/drama-free-untangling-chaotic-relationships-with-nedra-tawwab/
I nodded and chuckled and just enjoyed my way through the entire thing.
And then went and promptly ordered Nedra Glover Tawwab’s new book.
